At Golden Horizon Kittens, we understand that every family’s situation is unique. Whether you prefer to welcome your new kitten in person or need safe delivery to your home, we are committed to making the adoption process smooth, caring, and stress-free.

Shipping and Delivery Within the U.S. and Canada

If you live too far to pick up your kitten in person, we proudly offer nationwide and Canadian delivery through trusted airlines and professional pet transport services. Our goal is to make the process easy, secure, and convenient for every new kitten parent.

Your kitten can be shipped to the closest airport near you or hand-delivered directly to your home, depending on your location and preference. Delivery costs vary by county, state, or province, and in most cases, kittens arrive within 8 to 10 hours from departure. Minor delays may occur due to weather, airline schedules, or routine health checks, so we recommend confirming flight details before heading to the airport.

General Airline Requirements

Before a kitten can be shipped by air, the following requirements must be met

1. The kitten must be at least 9 weeks and 4 days old

2. A veterinarian Health or Acclimation Certificate is required

3. Some airlines enforce temperature restrictions and check weather forecasts to ensure safe travel conditions

Shipping Costs and Details

Shipping costs depend on several factors

• Veterinary Health or Acclimation Certificate

• Travel kennel or crate size and weight

• Airfreight charges based on combined weight of kitten and crate

We always provide a detailed cost estimate before shipping.

Safe and Comfortable Shipping Process

We understand that sending a kitten can feel stressful, but your kitten’s well-being is our highest priority.

All transportation partners follow strict live animal care procedures, including

• Temperature-controlled, secure, quiet, and monitored cargo compartments

• Direct flights whenever possible to minimize travel time

• Optional ground transportation via trusted pet couriers in climate-controlled vehicles

Before travel, each kitten is

• Examined by a licensed veterinarian

• Given a full health clearance and travel certificate

• Placed in a clean, soft, and comfortable travel kennel

• Supplied with light food, water, and bedding

Upon arrival, your kitten will be calm, healthy, and ready to bond with their new family.

Local Pickup Policy

We always love meeting our kitten families in person

If you prefer to pick up your kitten directly from Golden Horizon Kittens, you can schedule a visit once your kitten is ready to go home (typically 10–12 weeks old, fully weaned and vet-checked).

When picking up in person, you will

• Receive your kitten’s health records, vaccination certificates, and registration papers

• Meet your kitten’s environment and ask questions

• Receive a kitten care package, including starter food, toys, and care tips

Please bring a secure pet carrier to ensure your kitten’s comfort and safety. All pickup appointments must be scheduled in advance.
